Ornamental Iron Work, Team Work

If you've taken a moment to view our image galleries, you'll have noted a wide range of custom wrought iron projects. Each project is different and reflects not only our clients' preferences and vision, but also the artisanship and commitment of our blacksmith team.

Our lead blacksmith is Jim Lemke was trained in the basic skills by his father in wrought iron work. He then extended his craft, traveling to many European countries on mission and touring trips that created some opportunities to study work done there. Additionally, his extensive library provides a rich resource from which he pulls design concepts.

But the scope of blacksmithing goes beyond a single person's abilities. So we work as a team to create each piece, whether straightforward or more ornamental. Iron work done well is the result of each craftsman interjecting his thoughts and experience into the piece. A good piece of wrought iron should look like it was easy to do. It is the sign that the artisans have done the job well.
